In our research and policy work, we seek to foster an expansive view of the national system of creative enterprise and expressive life, provoke novel inquiries and dialogue around enduring questions, and combine our imagination, experience and academic rigor to meet the cultural policy challenges of the 21st century.
Creative enterprise and expressive life in America is shaped by a complex system of practices, laws, regulations and managerial decisions. We examine this system from several vantage points through our work on: public policy and expressive life; creative ecosystems; creative education and careers; leadership in creative enterprise; and new approaches to engaging citizens in art and artmaking.
